Eng Tay was born in Malaysia in 1947.
He studied art in New York at the Arts
Students League, School of Visual Arts and
Pratt Graphics Center. He resides in New York
City with his wife and children. His works include
oil paintings, etchings and sculpture.

Eng Tay's work has a recurring family and
musical theme. He says of his work, "Emotions,
relationships, color, light, wind or sounds that I
experienced last night, or many years before, are
the raw materials with which I try to create "new"
moments - the images my etchings represent -
rooted in memory."
